How do you remove your makeup? I often use a garden variety of different removers such as makeup removing wipes, micellar water, eye makeup remover and cleansing oil. One of my most favourite makeup removers is Vichy's Pureté Thermale Water Proof Eye Makeup Remover, so when I learned that Vichy was releasing a makeup removing micellar wipe, I was beyond excited.
Vichy Pureté Thermale Makeup Removing Micellar Wipes come in a pack of 25 at a price of $14.95 CAD. They claim to cleanse, remove makeup and soothe skin. They're hypoallergenic, suitable for sensitive skin and contain no paraben, alcohol or fragrance.
The wipes are thin yet durable, and have texture to remove makeup. They don't have any scent and they're just the right size. But do they completely remove all of my makeup?
I found that the Pureté Thermale Makeup Removing Micellar Wipes did a good job of removing my base makeup, brows and lipstick, but they couldn't break down my mascara. This is fairly common with makeup removing wipes, so I'm not overly surprised. I am slightly disappointed though considering they claim to be able to remove waterproof makeup - and they don't (at least not for me).
If you're looking for an on-the-go facial wipe to freshen up or one for light makeup removal, these are a good choice as they're gentle on the skin. You can find Pureté Thermale Makeup Removing Micellar Wipes in-store where Vichy products are sold.
